There are a number of flea markets operating on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in Singapore. The oldest one is probably Clarke Quay (Suns only, 10 am to 6 pm) but now most have moved over to China Square (Suns only 10 am to 6 pm) or Far East Square (Sats , Suns and public holidays 1230 pm to 8 pm). China Square and Far East Square are just beside each other and Clarke Quay is a 15 minutes walk away next to the Singapore River. There is one more out on Orchard Rd in Tanglin Mall (Suns only 10 am to 6 pm). Flea markets sell the usual sort of things : Antiques , arts and crafts , jewellery , used and new clothing , bric a brac , stamps , coins , toys , and all sorts of unusual things sometimes not seen in the shops. Prices are sometimes lower than that found in shops. However, try to go in between the stated times because sometimes they set up later or pack up earlier. If you are pressed for time and can only go to one flea market, try the China Square/Far East Square one on Sundays as they are currently the biggest and best one and also they are right in town beside the Raffles Place MRT subway station as well as near the Singapore River on one side and Chinatown on the other side. Singapore unlike Bangkok does not have a daily flea market except Sungei Road (every afternoon 1 pm to 7 pm) but Sungei Road is more like a flea market for the immigrant and work permit workers from China, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, etc. Its more on the low end worker stuff like used shoes , used clothing, used cooking pans, rubbish bin pick-ups, etc. One more tip: Bring cash - credit cards are no good here!

Here's a list of the usual ones :-

Getting there: Take the MRT North-East Line to Little India Station. It's a 10-minute walk away.
How to rent a space: No rent. Just be there early to set up shop.

Tanglin Mall Flea Market
What: 54 vendors selling mostly second-hand clothing and other knick-knacks such as watches, musical instruments and toys.

Getting there: It's a 15-minute walk from Orchard MRT station.
Cost to rent a space: Vendors pay $50 for a seven-by-four foot lot.

China Square Central Flea Market

For our Talents ..www.popandtalenthub.com
Path@VIVOCITY

In London, there is Covent Garden; in Sydney we find the Paddington Market; in Paris there is Montemare and Central Pompidou. Here in Singapore, we have our very own PaTH Market!

Pop and Talent Hub (PaTH), an initiative of Social Innovation Park Ltd (SIP), is Singapore’s first social enterprise talent development platform. PaTH champions social entrepreneurship via the arts by developing creative PaTH talents from traditionally marginalized groups. Through the initiative, PaTH talents gain access to mentors, networks, and commercial sales platforms that give them opportunities to develop their talents to create a sustainable business ventures. At the same time, PaTH instigates a mindset change in the community by showing that every person can positively contribute to society.

Testifying to the success of PaTH's model for sustainability, beneficiaries and talent participants have been impacted in areas extending to creation of employment, generation of income, greater awareness for various social organisations and projects, connection to the community at large and business organisations within PaTH Talent Pool.

PaTH Market@VivoCity is where PaTH talents showcase their art and sell their handicrafts. It is in operation at VivoCity, a major shopping mall in Singapore, on every first and last weekend of the month from 11:00am to 10:00pm.
